Do I need to turn in my damaged car title? You do not need to turn in your damaged car title. You should hold onto it until your car title replacement arrives in the mail. On your Application for Replacement Title, you must certify what happened to your title and why you are applying for a replacement. You can only order a car title replacement if your title is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed. You may not apply for a replacement title if you believe you know who is in possession of the original title.

How do I file a police report if my car title was stolen? To report a stolen car title, you are encouraged to file a police report at the nearest police station. If your car title information is found to be stolen, then you may be protected from unlawful use of your vehicle and personal information. The Oregon DMV can only issue a replacement car title if the original one is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.

How do I transfer my car title? If you have sold a used vehicle in Oregon, you must make a transfer of title. Sign the back of the pink slip, include the price and the odometer price, then fill out an Application for Title and Registration. As a courtesy, inform the buyer if the vehicle must pass vehicle emissions testing.

The seller must then pay any car title, car registration, and license plate fees associated with a car title transfer.

There are extra fee per foot applied to the registration fees for RVs longer than ten feet.

You cannot order a replacement title online.
